NEW 2026!
A.Jensen Rip Tide (Seatrout)
OverviewA.Jensen RIP TIDE
The light and very well-balanced RIP TIDE rods are designed for “power casting”.
The goal was to make a really fast action and long casting rod, using top notch materials and fittings, but keeping the price at a very affordable level.
The result is the RIP TIDE rods, and they have turned out beyond what we had hoped for, meaning you get superb value for money with these lovely deep blue gems!
The RIP TIDE rods are just tailor made for Scandinavian style seatrout fishing, Light tackle surf fishing and bank fishing in reservoirs and lakes where long casting could be needed.
The action is very fast which gives you a tremendous line speed. But it is not a top action rod. The full blank is at work when doing the longest casts. We get the fast action from the recovery speed of the blank, meaning the speed the blank straightens out again after having been bend; like a progressive action. This gives you awesome casts, that not only uses the power from the entire blank, but it is also much easier to control and get continuous long casts with, compared to the top action rods on the market. We have even added extra power lower in the blank for extra power when needed for max power casting or fighting trophy fish.
We have designed the RIP TIDE rods using Advanced Helical Taper, which assures the rod is a great fishing tool, not only as “stiff” casting tool. While being a really fast action rod it is still a joy to fish, cast and play fish on.
By also using SBD (Slim Blank Design) we get a lighter and slimmer blank, that really cuts through the wind. Something you feel immediately when fishing in especially windy areas, like along coasts or lake banks.
The blank is beautiful deep blue. Wrappings are matching deep blue with metallic blue and silver trimmings. Oversized quality guides from PacBay, including their superb Minima Shooting guide.
Cork is Topline 4 AAAA grade Portuguese cork.
The reel seat is a high quality model made in aircraft grade alu and woven carbon, which gives maximum strength, low weight and maximum resistance against salt.
